Niederbreitbach - Margarethe-Flesch-Straße (from NEUWIED: 3rd street on the right, from LINZ/BAD HÖNNINGEN/WALDBREITBACH: 1st street on the left) - Fockenbachtal (Fockenbachmühle) - cross the stream - steepest section (approx. 2 km) - road fork turn right - place Hollig - crossing (K88/K90) and follow the K88 towards Neustadt/Wied. Abbreviation 1: sports field left - through the Elsbachtal to the Wiedtal - Wiedtalstraße right on the cycle path via Waldbreitbach to Niederbreitbach Main route: on the K88 to the L 256 road.
Abbreviation 2: K88 joins the L 256, left in the direction of Breitscheid and Roßbach - down the valley to Roßbach - Wiedtalstraße - left in the direction of Neuwied - at the end of the town on the cycle path through the Wiedtal via Waldbreitbach to Niederbreitbach. Main route: Junction K88 into the L 256, turn right in the direction of Fernthal/Neustadt/Wied - signposts to Neustadt/Wied - continue through Fernthal, shortcut 3: exit Fernthal - left in the direction of Neschen - Neschen - Mühlenstraße down the valley to Nescher-Mühle (serviced) - through the Masbachtal to Roßbach - Wiedtalstraße in the direction of Neuwied - bike path through the Wiedtal via Waldbreitbach to Niederbreitbach. Abbreviation 4: behind Fernthal - hamlet of Bertenau - left towards Rahms - via Jungfernhof, Rahms and Strauscheid down the valley into the Wiedtal - left via the Wiedtalstraße towards Neuwied - before Roßbach-Niederbuchenau turn right onto the cycle path - through the Wiedtal via Waldbreitbach to Niederbreitbach.
